In Rhea County, Tennessee, near Spring City, lies Stinging Fork Falls State Natural Area, a Tennessee Class II Natural-Scientific State Scenic Area. The Stinging Fork Falls route ends approximately a mile from the parking lot at the bottom of Stinging Fork Falls, a 30-foot high cascade. The falls will be connected to the Cumberland Trail in the future. The state of Tennessee owns the 783-acre property, which is maintained by the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation. Bowater Paper Company, which designated numerous locations in Tennessee as "Pocket Wildernesses" for public enjoyment, used to own and operate them.
The Cumberland Trail State Park maintains Stinging Fork Falls, which is located just west of Spring City, Tennessee. Stinging Fork is by far one of the more calm and gorgeous swimming spots in the area, despite the trek being only 2 miles round way.
Savage Falls is magnificent, and swimming in the lagoon at the bottom of the falls is amazing, so the journey is well worth it. If you want to go to the bottom of the falls, you'll have to do some rock scrambling. The ranger station near the trailhead has clean restrooms.
